Justine hand cream: Naturally Even or Age Defence?

The clearest difference between these two Body Balance hand creams is not the colour of the tube: Naturally Even is listed as 100 ml, while Age Defence is 50 ml. They also have different product codes. Treat them as different products, not simply two sizes of one formula. This guide uses the South African Justine brochure valid from 1 to 28 February 2026; its prices and offers have expired.

The products appear on printed page 79 of the February brochure. The Age Defence tube also carries SPF 15 wording. That label helps distinguish the pictured tube, but this comparison does not establish sun-protection performance or which cream will work better for your skin. The names are not evidence that either product will remove marks, reverse ageing or treat a skin condition.

What does the size difference mean for cost?

Using only those expired catalogue prices, R89.90 divided by 100 ml gives R0.899 per ml for Naturally Even. R79.90 divided by 50 ml gives R1.598 per ml for Age Defence. Rounded for reading, that is about R0.90 and R1.60 per ml. The 100 ml tube cost R10 more in total and contained twice the volume, but the calculation does not make the formulas equivalent.

A smaller checkout total and a lower cost per ml answer different questions. If your aim is to compare how much product you receive, divide each actual price by its own pack size. If you are choosing between formulas, first check the exact product description and ingredients. Neither this page nor the archive includes a hands-on wear test or a measured number of applications per tube, so there is no basis for promising how long either will last.

Do not borrow the offer beside the product

The same catalogue page contains a Naturally Gentle Intimate Wash entry, code 1535185, with a two-for-R139.90 offer. It is not a hand-cream bundle. Matching a nearby price to the wrong product would change both the order and the unit-cost calculation. For Age Defence, the February entry shows R99.90 as the regular price and R79.90 as the offer price: the R20 difference belongs to that entry, not to every item on the spread.

For a current quotation, write down the full name, code and volume together. Ask which campaign the quote belongs to, whether it is for one tube or a bundle, and what delivery charges apply. A screenshot of an old offer is useful for identifying a product, but it is not proof of today's availability or selling price.

Which comparison should you use?

Choose the 100 ml versus 50 ml calculation when you need a transparent quantity comparison. Use the code and label comparison when you are trying to reorder a particular tube. If a seller offers another code, do not silently substitute it: compare the new entry with the packaging and current local listing first. If the volume or formula has changed, restart the comparison using those details rather than carrying forward the February figures.
