Justine Daily Hydrating vs Daily Nourishing Cleanser: Gel or Cream?

Daily Hydrating Foaming Gel Cleanser and Daily Nourishing Cream Cleanser are two different Justine facial cleansers, not two sizes of the same product. In the South African June 2026 brochure, both are labelled 150 ml. The useful starting points are their format, exact product code and the distinction between a cleanser and the matching day cream. This is a comparison of documented catalogue information, not a personal skin test or a recommendation for treating a skin condition. The June offers have expired.

The distinction between a gel and a cream is a product-format difference. It does not establish that one cleans more thoroughly or will be more comfortable for every person. Similarly, the skin-type wording above reports how Justine presents the ranges. It is not a diagnosis of your skin or a guarantee that a product cannot cause a reaction. The catalogue does not provide a controlled comparison of these two cleansers' performance.

Why the words after "Daily" matter

Searching for a Justine Daily cleanser can produce product pages and reviews from different years. An older review may discuss another product under a familiar range name. Before relying on it, compare the full name, code, size and packaging with the item you are considering. A review of a whole three-step routine also cannot isolate what its cleanser did: the writer may have used a toner and cream at the same time.

This is why we keep the two 2026 entries separate. Daily Hydrating in this reference means the Foaming Gel Cleanser, code 1543628. Daily Nourishing means the Cream Cleanser, code 1532092. Neither should be silently substituted for a product simply called "Hydrating Cream Cleanser" in an older article. Similar wording is not proof of an unchanged formula.

Do not mistake the matching day cream for the cleanser

Each catalogue page places a cleanser beside a day cream in the same range. The cleansers are the 150 ml products. The adjacent Day Cream SPF 15 products are 50 ml and have different codes: 1546853 for Daily Hydrating and 1546593 for Daily Nourishing. This matters when ordering from a cropped photograph: a range colour or the word "Hydrating" alone may identify the wrong item.

The SPF 15 wording belongs to those named day creams; it is not an SPF claim for the cleansers. Likewise, a benefit printed beside one item should not automatically be applied to everything on the page. Ask for the complete product line and code rather than ordering "the blue tube" or "the pink one".

A fair price comparison

Because both cleansers in this reference are 150 ml, you can compare their total prices directly when the offers have the same conditions. For different pack sizes, calculate price divided by millilitres and multiply by 100 to compare the cost per 100 ml. Keep bundle discounts, delivery charges and compulsory companion purchases separate. A lower displayed price is not necessarily the lower final cost of buying one cleanser.

We do not quote the June promotion as a current deal. Ask for the price and availability in the campaign from which you are ordering, and check that both quotes refer to the same 150 ml items listed above. There is no reason to choose between these two solely on a historic saving if today's prices differ.

What to check before choosing

Use the table to identify the format and exact item you mean, then check the current pack's ingredient list and directions. The June page is useful for identification but does not reproduce a complete ingredient list or establish that the formula has stayed unchanged. Claims such as fragrance-free, allergy-free or suitable for every sensitive skin are not established by this comparison. If your decision depends on a particular ingredient or use instruction, obtain the label for the actual product instead of inferring it from a range name.

There is no universal winner here. The practical result is a clearer comparison: two 150 ml cleansers, different formats and codes, with the matching creams kept out of the calculation. That lets you ask a consultant about the exact products without confusing a cleansing step with a moisturising product.
